Add Lineage Information
If you would like to contribute your school's lineage or even your students, you are encouraged to add your knowledge to this site. Simply browse to a martial artist's page to whom you wish to attach either an instructor or a student and click the green 'edit' button at the top of the page.
I plan to improve this process in the future, but for now there are a lot of things to be careful of to avoid duplicate entries:
- Choose VERY carefully from the dropdown list that appears after you begin typing in the "Lineage" block (shown below). If you type a name that is not already in the list, a new page will be created for that person automatically. Duplicate entries are deleted so make sure you spell the name right, otherwise we will have a page for "Ed Parker" AND "Eddy Parker".
- I suggest just typing the last name of the person you're looking for to see if anything comes up. Also try some alternative spellings. DO NOT type titles like "Sensei" or "Sifu".
- If you find no matching names and want to add that person, just type their name in the most accurate or most common spelling and a page will be added for that person.
- 4. If the name of the person you are adding matches a name in the dropdown list but is a different person, please add a new martial artist first!
