Kuttu Varisai
About Kuttu Varisai
An Indian open hand martial art resembling karate or kung fu. It's name is translated as "Sequence of Punches" in the language of Tamil.
Many of the techniques employed are taken from animal movements. Some weapons are also used occasionally, such as the trident, dagger, double sword, shield, steel whip and knuckleduster. It is also often practiced with the stick fighting form of Silambam, and sometimes refered to as "Kai Silambam" or Hand Silambam.
Kuttu Varisai also offers some of the more peaceful aspects of the martial arts, such as meditation, yoga and breathing exercises.
